Summer is fast approaching, but I love the beach all year round and I always have many reminders of it at home – sand, stones, shells, bottles etc.

I’ve been inspired by a recent trip to Sag Harbor’s Beach Bungalow and decided it’s time to bring more color into the home.

I couldn’t resist this pale blue ceramic garden stool.

Right now it sits next to a bureau where I can always use another surface to put a folded sweater on. When the reading nook is complete, I’ll use it as a side table. One day when I get that beach bungalow (begin wistful daydream) I’ll put it in the garden!
