I’m planning a September wedding. The event location is a marina and luckily, there is no short supply of accessories with a nautical theme over at Pottery Barn.

There is a fine line to theme decor. Get wrapped up and you may find yourself staring at a pirate’s hat in your living room. Not good.

Keep it clean by using solid colors like white or blue for big pieces of furniture and add in the pillows, throws, votives with more detail or bold pattern.
